Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova shared a heartwarming moment with her followers, posting a photo of herself accompanying her godson to a tennis training session. “`I took my godson to tennis! I`m preparing a new generation,` the athlete wrote, expressing her hope for nurturing future stars.”
It`s worth recalling that Potapova had to end her 2025 season prematurely due to a wrist injury. Her last appearance on court was on October 1st, where she lost to Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic 2/6, 4/6 in the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing. Potapova even took a medical timeout during that match.
Despite the injury, the 2025 season brought Potapova one significant singles title. In February, she triumphed at the WTA 250 hardcourt tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This victory marked the 24-year-old Russian tennis player`s third career WTA-level title.
