World No. 12 Amanda Anisimova has become the second player in the Open Era to lose a Grand Slam singles final without winning a single game. In a match played yesterday, the American suffered a double-bagel defeat (0-6, 0-6) against Iga Świątek in the Wimbledon 2025 final.
This unwanted milestone was first set in the 1988 Roland Garros final, where Soviet player Natalia Zvereva was defeated by Germany`s Steffi Graf with a score of 0-6, 0-6.
Amanda Anisimova on the double-bagel loss in the Wimbledon final: “I was in shock when it all ended.”
