Amad Diallo has provided Manchester United with a significant injury boost ahead of their critical Europa League semi-final match on Thursday.
Manchester United is preparing to face Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
Diallo has been unavailable for the Red Devils since sustaining an ankle injury in early February.
However, he was back on the training pitch at Carrington on Wednesday as the squad gets ready to travel to Bilbao.
Diallo`s availability for tomorrow`s match has not yet been confirmed.
He could potentially feature this weekend when United plays Brentford in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old, who has scored nine goals and provided eight assists this season, is expected to be fit for next week`s second leg at Old Trafford.
Amad`s return will provide a necessary boost to the team`s attack.
Reports suggest he has recovered in “record time” after injuring his ankle ligaments against Leicester.
Diallo was initially expected to miss the rest of the season after his diagnosis.
Club captain Bruno Fernandes commented earlier this week, stating that winning the Europa League alone would not salvage United`s season.
Manchester United is currently 14th in the Premier League with 10 wins from 34 games.
Fernandes said: “I wouldn’t say it’s a reward.
“I think it will just be successful in terms of the Europa League.
“It’s very important to do that, to get the silverware this season.
“But it won’t save anything.”
