World number three Alexander Zverev discussed his recent performance this season and shared his perspective ahead of Wimbledon 2025.
“I had a pretty solid preparation. I reached a final and a semi-final, and put in good work at these tournaments (in Stuttgart and Halle). People tend to forget that I`m still the world number three and ranked third in the Race. I`ve had some defeats that were normal, maybe a bit unexpected, but overall, I feel I`ve regained my form over the past weeks or months. I`m really looking forward to Wimbledon and believe I can perform well there.”
Zverev was also asked about the biggest source of stress for him on the ATP Tour.
“Consistency, the lack of downtime. That`s a long-standing issue. I don`t think we truly have an off-season. We don`t seem to get enough time to recover mentally, physically, and in every other way. Generally, though, I don`t want to complain, because I enjoy being a tennis player. I love playing tennis. I love doing what I do.
We do complain at a very high level, while earning good money and traveling the world. We stay in five-star hotels most of the time, visiting beautiful places. Honestly, my dream was always to become a tennis player. I feel like I`m living that dream, and I truly get satisfaction from it,” Zverev stated during a press conference.
