World No. 2 German tennis player Alexander Zverev stated that he needs to win several matches to regain his confidence on the court.
“Winning matches is key to gaining confidence and getting into the right mindset. I definitely need to win a few matches and show good tennis. Things can change very quickly. In Miami, I felt I was playing better than before, but then I got a stiff neck, which was a bit unfortunate for me, so I was a little restricted. But even after winning that match, things can change quickly.”
“In the quarterfinals, I would have played Jakub Mensik. He certainly won the tournament, but perhaps if I regained my confidence, I would be the favorite in all these matches. Things can happen quickly, and I hope it happens in the next few weeks,” said Zverev.
At the Miami Masters, Zverev lost in the fourth round to Arthur Fils with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 4-6.
